Since 1982, brothers Jim & Bob Ward have offered the finest quality fresh picked fruits and veggies for sale at their roadside stand in Sharon, Mass. Using the family's favorite recipes, their mother Ann bakes cookies, muffins, breads and pies every day.
Wards Berry Farm is a family run farm and roadside market featuring the finest in fresh fruits and vegetables. We specialize in home-baked goods, artisan breads, gourmet cheeses, homemade jams and fruit baskets made to order. We also have a wonderful sandwich counter & deli, a smoothie bar with soft-serve ice cream and slush. Our shelves are stocked with a large selection of gourmet grocery items, and prepared foods to go.
In spring & summer, bedding plants, hanging baskets & perennials fill our greenhouses. We offer pick-your-own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries & pumpkins in season. There are public hayrides during strawberry & pumpkin seasons. Birthday parties & school tours are available year-round by reservation. We have many picnic areas, kids play areas and farm animals. Challenge yourself to our corn maze and hay pyramid in the fall. We offer fresh, native turkeys for Thanksgiving and for Christmas we have beautiful trees, wreaths & garland.
We supply organic produce in set boxes for pre-ordering. On Saturdays members receive an email describing the approximate box contents and prices (actual contents may vary due to quality or availability). Orders must be placed by 4PM on Mondays. Members pick up their boxes and pay between 1PM Thursday and noon Saturday at Ward's Berry Farm (614 South Main St., Sharon).
We are NOT a subscription service. Members order week by week, with the option of having their order placed automatically every week.
Click "Send an Email to Ward's Berry Farm" and add your name to our organic box email list!
Our boxes include as much local produce as possible. As the season gets colder, we balance them with non-local produce, mostly purveyed by a Massachusetts farmer. We are still helping to support another local farm during the difficult off-season! He follows the harvests south to keep our petro mile usage to a minimum.
Most of the items in our boxes are certified organic; however, we occasionally include some transitional and non-certified organically grown local items. These items are always clearly identified, and ONLY included if we are familiar with the farm, and certain that the growing methods used conform with organic standards.
Each year, more visitors discover the secrets of Ward's success - friendly, personal service, sweeping views of row upon row of field crops, and above all, high-quality fruits and vegetables. Come see for yourself what the locals already know. Please call ahead for seasonal information. We are open year-round
